Developmental Editing & Book Coaching
As a developmental editor, I work with fiction and nonfiction authors to identify strategies to improve their manuscript at the story-level.
A developmental edit focuses on plot and idea development, structural flow, and character arc resolution. I provide authors with a holistic full-manuscript roadmap to revise for clarity and effective development of story elements.
I assess the story genre and structural beats, characters, themes, point of view, and reader experience and expectations.
Book coaching sessions are customized to support authors where they are in the writing or revising process. I listen to the author’s challenges and guide them through manuscript specific next steps.
