Story Momentum Sessions is an in-person workshop series for writers actively developing or revising fiction, memoir, and emotionally driven nonfiction manuscripts.
Created for writers looking for creative support and deeper story insight, these gatherings are a collaborative space to discuss story challenges, strengthen manuscripts, and build momentum in community with fellow authors.
Sessions combine guided craft discussion, story-development exercises, and creative support to help writers gain clarity, identify roadblocks, and move their manuscripts forward.
Writers are encouraged to bring current works-in-progress including scenes and chapters, story questions, and their creative challenges.
Character Goals & Emotional Change
What does your character want, and how do the events of your story change them along the way?
In our October gathering, we’ll explore how character goals, emotions, and plot events work together to create deeper, more engaging stories.
Bring a scene or chapter from your work-in-progress, or bring your character ideas and notes. Using a guided worksheet, you’ll explore your character’s goals, emotional reactions, and development. Connect with fellow writers, exchange ideas, and leave with practical ways to strengthen your story.
